Mick played for Lincoln City between 1977-1980, with 115 appearances and 41 goals. He later played for Newcastle, Bristol City, Birmingham City, Luton Town, Derby County, Luton Town (again), Chelsea, Sunderland, Coventry and Wimbledon – and managed Nottingham Forest, Rotherham United, QPR (twice) and Luton Town (three times) -with some caretaker roles in there too!
He also made two international appearances for England in 1988 without scoring.
