The Team that Performed the Great Impscape
In 1957-8 Lincoln went to Barnsley after failing to win in 18 games. The Imps were bottom of the league and facing a return to Division 3 North. Beating Barnsley 3-1 the team won the remaining five games – allowing Lincoln to remain in Division 2 for another three years.
