From the Trevor Baumber Collection Newark born Ronald Peter Freeman – or Percy – had two spells with Lincoln – 1970 to 73 saw 30 goals in 80 appearances and following a sojourn to Reading returned in 1975 with 72 appearances and 34 goals. Percy sadly passed away in January

Donated by Clive Woodhead Gresty Road, Crewe February 13 1971. City prepare to take a free kick. Note the No 10 in the Crewe defensive wall. A certain Stan Bowles. Sadly City lost 3-1 this day, with Bobby Svarc scoring a consolation goal in a 3-1 defeat.
