Submitted by Martin Blow. Quite a unique signed team sheet by Alan Clarke from a Lincolnshire Senior Cup tie against Spalding United. August 1990 and Alan Clarke was new into the management role at Sincil Bank. He lasted until November 30th. Sacked! Replaced by Steve Thompson.
David Longhurst 1965-1990
On the 8 September 1990, Lincoln City played York City at Bootham Crescent in a League game. Tragically, the York City midfielder, David Longhurst collapsed on the field and despite the heroic attempts by medical staff sadly passed away. His family have used the C.R.Y charity to raise money for
